Paulette Kranjac

This is Paulette Kranjac’s first authored book, New Way to Grieve.

Paulette has been writing since her childhood when she began with Haiku, poetry, and short stories and throughout her four-decade career as a marketing entrepreneur publishing dozens of articles about marketing strategy, cause marketing and social responsibility.

She has been honored in her field, cited as ‘bellwether’ and a voice of leadership.

The most important thing to Paulette Kranjac is sharing information that she has learned to help others. This book was written after learning something about her own grief to share with others so that they do not have to suffer as much as they do.

Paulette Kranjac’s book New Way to Grieve, came about due to her substantial losses in a short period of time which led to a personal discovery about grieving which she is committed to sharing.

Her commitment is that people whose loved ones have died do not have to experience the unnecessary suffering that they often do.

‘Grief is sadness’ as she explains in her book. ‘There is usually anger as well to express and then forgiveness to just get to the pure sadness. Human beings get caught up in what the death means uniquely to us each’, says Kranjac, ‘and that is where some of us get stuck.’

In order to live life fully, our thoughts need to be expressed so we can perceive our own point of view, try it on so to speak and see if it is even real…For example, I was saying that my life was over, until my coach told me to look in the mirror and see that I was alive and that it was a lie I was telling myself’. ‘What is true’, said my coach…’is that you have the opportunity to design a whole new life… let’s get started!’

She has supported hundreds of people who have had loved ones die through her book and through her listening as a Grief Expression Advocate, as she calls herself. Paulette allows grievers to express their feelings and thoughts until they get to the pure sadness. From there and only there, can people move forward.

Paulette Kranjac provides Grief Expression Advocacy services for a month at a time depending on the grief situation and her availability. Please learn more here if you are interested in her providing this.

The work of ‘grief expression’, is not a substitute for mental health intervention.

***If you find yourself not functioning…or having thoughts of suicide, call 911 immediately or head to the nearest emergency room!***

There are many actions to take to navigate the waves of grief that come up seemingly from nowhere. Paulette shows how these ‘waves’ usually fall into only one of three categories, are mostly predictable. She suggests how to mitigate these waves so that you are not thrown ‘off course’ and instead, actually have some power over your triggers.

In the book, Paulette outlines actions to take for your well-being and health which can hugely ease your journey through grief. She provides many avenues and exercises for you to discover ways to honor your loved one and to begin to consider what is next for you in your life.
